Job summary

Canada Cartage is seeking a dependable Class 1 Shunt Truck Driver for local Calgary deliveries. The role operates on a 4 on - 4 off rotational shift, with start times from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and requires shunting plus yard management duties.

Core requirements include a valid Class 1 license, clean driving abstract, shunting experience, and familiarity with load securement. Moffett/forklift experience is a plus; safety comes first in our fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 driver's license; manual transmission preferred.
• Clean 5 years commercial driving abstract (≤3 demerits and ≤3 negative events).
• Shunting experience required.
• Moffett and forklift experience is an asset.
• Strong understanding of safety, hours of service, and load securement.

Responsibilities

• Move around 15-25 shunt trailers per shift using a shunt truck.
• Park trailers efficiently and tidy yard spacing to help traffic flow.
• Follow company rules and regulations with respect to safety and hours of service.
• Ensure trailers are in good working condition and readily available to be loaded.
• Perform local deliveries within Calgary.
• Assist in the Warehouse offloading trailer.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift Schedule: 4 on - 4 Off rotational shift

Start Time: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM

We are seeking dependable, safety-focused, and customer-oriented drivers to join our growing transportation team. This role is ideal for professionals who take pride in their work, consistently deliver high-quality service, and can operate safely and professionally in a fast-paced environment while representing the company.

Responsibilities:

• Moving around 15-25 shunt trailers per shift using a shunt truck
• Be able to park trailers efficiently and tidy yard spacing to help traffic flow
• Follow company rules and regulations with respect to safety and hours of service
• Ensure trailers are in good working condition and readily available to be loaded
• Doing local deliveries within Calgary
• Assisting in the Warehouse offloading trailer

Core Requirements
