Job summary

Midland Transport Limited is seeking a professional Class 1 Linehaul Truck Driver – CAN-USA Run (Owner Operator). The driver can be based out of any major city in the Maritimes and will run long-haul routes across the Maritimes, U.S. Eastern Seaboard, and Ontario/Quebec while upholding company procedures and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Class 1 driver's license with a minimum of 3 years of safe tractor trailer driving experience in North America.
• Clean driver's abstract and criminal search.
• Eligibility to receive a FAST card.
• Eligibility to cross the border with US.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Running Linehaul between the Maritimes, United States eastern seaboard, and Ontario/Quebec.
• Deliver freight to assigned locations ensuring timely delivery.
• Offload variable shipment weight and handle freight equipment properly and in a safe manner to avoid any damage.
• Communicate efficiently with the central dispatch and customers.
• Operate the tractor trailer in accordance with the safety regulation: company rules while following safety procedures and traffic laws.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the truck operation.
• Report any incident, accident, injury or damage in a timely manner.
• Willingness to work linehaul legs into the United States, including New York and New Jersey.
