Qualifications

  • Education: High School or GED.
  • Class 1 license with 4 years of safe North American driving experience.
  • Clean driving record and background check.
  • FAST card eligibility and border crossing eligibility.
  • Experience with satellite navigation systems.
  • Strong communication skills and reliability.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lifts up to 50 lbs with proper equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver freight to assigned locations on schedule.
  • Offload and handle freight safely and efficiently.
  • Communicate with dispatch and customers clearly.
  • Operate tractor-trailer in compliance with safety rules.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections.
  • Report incidents promptly and accurately.
  • Willingness to run US lanes including NY/NJ.

Job Description

Midland Transport Limitedis currently seeking professional Class 1 Linehaul Truck Drivers – US Triangle.The Driver can be based out of any major city in the Maritimes including, but not limited to Fredericton, Moncton, Halifax, Saint John, Charlottetown, Truro and Summerside.

The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and strong commitment to providing Superior Quality Service.

What we offer:

  • USA miles paid in CAD: $0.613 per mile.
  • Safety and fuel bonus paid quarterly.
  • Pick-ups, drops, and wait times are paid (restrictions apply).

  • Running Linehaul from the Maritimes into United States eastern seaboard, into Ontario/Quebec and then back to the Maritimes.
  • Deliver freight to assigned locationsensuring timely delivery.
  • Offload variable shipment weight and handle freight equipment properly and in a safe manner to avoid any damage.
  • Communicate efficiently with the central dispatch and customers.
  • Operate the tractor trailer in accordance with the safety regulation: company rules while following safety procedures and traffic laws.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the truck operation.
  • Report any incident, accident, injury or damage in a timely manner.
  • Willingness to work linehaul legs into the United States, including New York and New Jersey.
Qualifications
  • Education Required: High School or GED.
  • Class1 driver’s license with a minimum of 4 years of safe tractor trailer driving experience in North America required.
  • Clean driver’s abstract and criminal search.
  • Eligibility to receive a FAST card.
  • Eligibility to cross the border with US.
  • Familiarity with satellite systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. using the proper equipment.
  • Safety conscious.
  • Must have flexibility to work various shifts: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends.
