Job summary

Sensity is hiring a Part Time Intervenor to support people who are deafblind in Paris, Ontario. The role focuses on communication and daily living, enabling independence. Training is provided, with shifts including overnights and weekends on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program, or related human services field.
• Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviours.
• Experience supporting persons with mental health conditions.
• ASL or Signed Exact English communication.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Support the individual in home and community environments.
• Use communication techniques to relay information.
• Assist with daily living activities and personal care as needed.
• Assist with developing and supporting individual goals and program development.
• Ensure documentation and records are complete.
