Qualifications

  • Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program, or related human services field.
  • Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviours.
  • Experience supporting persons with mental health conditions.
  • ASL or Signed Exact English communication.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable auto insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Support the individual in home and community environments.
  • Use communication techniques to relay information.
  • Assist with daily living activities and personal care as needed.
  • Assist with developing and supporting individual goals and program development.
  • Ensure documentation and records are complete.
