Job summary

The Westin Nova Scotian in Halifax, NS is seeking a dedicated Night Auditor to manage overnight front desk duties and perform the nightly audit. You’ll welcome late-arriving guests, handle check-ins/outs, and ensure records are accurate for the new day.

This role requires attention to detail, strong English communication, and the ability to stay calm during late-night situations. You’ll collaborate with the morning team to start the day smoothly and uphold hotel safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of front desk experience.
• Strong attention to detail and financial accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Must be available for overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Check guests in and out accurately and efficiently.
• Process daily financials and complete night audit reports.
• Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns.
• Ensure health, safety, and security protocols are followed during overnight hours.
• Support wake-up calls, late-night room moves, and guest amenity requests.
• Coordinate room status updates and resolve discrepancies.
• Communicate effectively with morning team and leadership.
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to appropriate departments.
• Perform other duties as needed to support overnight hotel operations.
