A leading company in HVAC-R is seeking an Outside Sales Representative for Refrigeration to enhance customer relationships and drive sales in Calgary. The role involves collaborating with various departments to provide tailored solutions, manage projects, and ensure customer satisfaction. Ideal candidates will have a background in refrigeration, strong sales abilities, and a commitment to exceptional service.
The Outside Sales Representative, Refrigeration, will be responsible for representing the company to assigned customers within their territory. They must collaborate with department members to respond to customer requirements, aiming to increase sales and profits. The role involves developing and leveraging the Master value proposition based on understanding customer challenges and business objectives. The representative will find, qualify, and onboard new accounts through outbound prospecting methods.
• Provide product solutions for inquiries;
• Review plans and specifications;
• Cross-reference parts or equipment to meet customer needs;
• Assist with projects, working with contractors and engineers;
• Prepare quotations and proposals based on project plans and specifications;
• Create technical drawings and data sheets for client approval;
• Provide material lists and quotations to contractors via written and verbal communication;
• Handle calls and written communications from clients and internal teams;
• Process orders according to company policies, coordinating with purchasing, sales, logistics, and customers;
• Follow up post-Purchase Order to ensure client satisfaction;
• Ensure project take-offs are accurate and complete;
• Manage projects and collaborate with contractors;
• Inform clients about standard procedures;
• Resolve customer issues to ensure satisfaction and policy adherence;
• Work with internal and external departments to maintain customer satisfaction;
• Respond to inquiries, questions, or complaints regarding products or services.
• Post-secondary education in Refrigeration or related field;
• 3-5 years of wholesale refrigeration experience;
• Knowledge of brands like Copeland, Tecumseh, Refplus, KE2, Bitzer, Sporlan, Keeprite, Mars, Messer;
• Experience in refrigeration and hydronics;
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software;
• Willingness to learn industry specifics;
• Sales training (asset);
• Commitment to customer service;
• Professional communication skills;
• Self-motivated, organized, with strong interpersonal skills;
• Persuasive sales abilities;
• Ability to close sales and work under pressure;
• Good judgment and decision-making skills;
• Problem-solving skills tailored to customer needs and company goals;
• Effective time management in a fast-paced environment;
• Willingness to learn continuously;
• Team-oriented and independent work capability.
Base salary: $75,000 - $95,000 annually
Additional pay: commission, annual bonus
