Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $66,000.00 Annually

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACOUNTABILITIES

Safety Express Ltd, an Aramsco Company has been serving its clients for over 35 years in the Abatement, Restoration, Industrial Safety, Professional Cleaning and Surface Preparation market. We are currently looking for a high performing and energetic Outside Sales Representative with exceptional interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of driving sales. The ideal candidate will possess a positive, win/win attitude; and grow relationships with our customer base.

OBJECTIVE

The Outside Sales Representative would be responsible for sales activities, from lead generation to close of sales for assigned market, cultivating new and building upon existing relationships. Responsibilities would also include order generation, upselling, and negotiating customers on every opportunity; while work collaboratively with team members, both in the branch and across Canada for the team’s achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation and long-term company goals. In addition, the successful candidate will develop ongoing, profitable relationships with customers and continually maintain a professional image of the company. Integrity, passion, and in-person presentational skills are essential for this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales and Customer Interaction:
  • Demonstrate consultative selling skills and previous industry and product knowledge in all areas of the business, including abatement, restoration, general safety, thermal imaging, etc. (or show proactive ability to learn industry and expand product knowledge to keep up with industry trends).
  • Responsible for servicing all orders for existing and new customers, including determining customer needs, upselling at every opportunity, advising of monthly promotions, and ensuring products are located from alternative sources to achieve the sale.
  • Travel 90% of the time within the assigned territory to visit customers.
  • Participate in weekly prospecting for new accounts and overcoming objections.
  • Ensure timely follow-up of leads, quotes, RFPs, and customer communication.
  • Meet or exceed established monthly and annual sales and margin targets.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with the branch team to ensure customer needs are known and met.
  • Be available 24/7 for your customers and participate in the after-hours customer support plan/schedule and open/close responsibilities with all branch team members.
Sales Planning and Reporting
  • Develop annual and monthly sales plans for the assigned market and work with the branch team to achieve the plan.
  • Develop strategies, action plans, and proposals to engage new and existing customers in assigned markets, ensuring competitive pricing while maximizing profit, and monitor and follow up on any changes to customer buying patterns.
  • Weekly pre-planning using CRM application.
  • Daily logging of visits, calls, and emails of customer interactions in the CRM application, meeting minimum requirements.
  • Review open orders and back orders daily, following up with team members as appropriate.
Market Awareness and Collaboration
  • Ensure ongoing awareness of new products and services, competitor activities, and market trends.
  • Work collaboratively with Branch Managers to ensure after-hours customer support plan/schedule.
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities to Buyer for investigation.
  • Participate as a team member in all areas of the operation, sharing best practices and any branch-specific successes with other branches and sales reps.
  • Participate in local industry events and tradeshows.
  • Assist with other projects/duties as required.
Compliance and Personal Development
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and company code of ethics.
  • Align with RSM on personal development plan and execution.
  • Travel to the United States may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-secondary education requiredor an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years sales experience.
  • Must be Bilingual
  • Self-starter with proven track record for growing sales and customer base and hitting established sales targets.
  • Knowledge of the sanitation, restoration, construction, or general safety industries is considered a nice-to-have.
  • Strong computer skills and understanding of spreadsheet software.
  • Exceptional verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Bilingual in English and French considered an asset.
  • Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • CRM experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work in a distribution environment.
  • Walking, bending, reaching, stretching, climbing, sitting.
  • Physical stamina to maintain high level of energy.
  • Visual acuity to read bar code labels and location labels.
  • Heavy lifting (50 pounds) may be required.
