Job summary

The Salvation Army Calgary seeks a dedicated outreach worker to support individuals experiencing homelessness through frequent field visits and active case management. You will build trust, provide crisis intervention, and help connect clients to services, including advocacy within CSC and external programs.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school diploma; college diploma in social services is a strong asset.
• Social Work diploma/degree should be registered with the Alberta College of Social Workers.
• Experience with crisis intervention, trauma-informed care and health-related trainings are assets.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with individuals experiencing homelessness and provide outreach support.
• Engage clients, document interactions, and assist in accessing services and advocacy.
• Support program evaluation, reporting and coordination with community agencies.
