Job description

Under the direction of the Manager, Clinical Coordinator, or designate, and as a member of a multidisciplinary team, the Orthopaedic LPN performs assessments, plans, and provides personal care, along with various nursing procedures. Responsibilities include applying and removing casts and splints, and setting up, monitoring, and adjusting traction equipment as directed by the physician. The Orthopaedic LPN operates within the full scope of practice outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives, adhering to agency policies, standards, and unit-specific protocols.

Qualifications: Education, Training, And Experience

• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant.
• Completion of recognized Orthopaedic Technology training plus two years of Orthopaedic technician experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
