Reporting to the Senior Manager, Organizational Development, Workplace Mental Health, and Volunteer Resources you will leverage your experience as an Organizational Development professional to assist with strategic and operational planning, leadership development, and change management for organizational initiatives.

As an Organization Development Consultant, you will conduct organizational assessments, design and implement development programs, and provide expertise in change management. Working closely with internal business partners, you will develop change management plans, assess change readiness, engage staff in change projects, and monitor progress. You will also apply tools and frameworks for leadership development, talent management, learning and development, and organizational effectiveness to foster CAMH transformation and measure progress.

Your focus will be on cultivating a supportive environment and aligning organizational strategies with the unique needs of mental health care professionals to contribute to the hospital's success in delivering quality mental health services.

Additionally, you will develop and collect engagement data across the organization and help leaders support a healthy team culture, including psychological safety in the workplace.

Your mandate as a Organizational Development Consultant will comprise training accountabilities at all levels of staff and leadership.

Specifically, you will:

  • Analyze data, including employee feedback, performance metrics, and cultural assessments, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Design and Implement change management best practices and methodology with project management rigour to support transformation, consistent with the Strategic Plan.
  • Provide guidance and training to leaders and employees to navigate and embrace organizational change effectively.
  • Identify leadership development needs and design programs to enhance the skills and competencies of leaders in the mental health care setting.
  • Have superior skills to facilitate workshops, coaching sessions, and training programs to strengthen leadership and team cohesiveness capabilities
  • Skillful in mediating conflicts and resolving interpersonal issues within teams
  • Facilitate team-building activities to enhance collaboration, communication, and trust among healthcare professionals.
  • Provide guidance on fostering a positive team culture that supports the well-being of staff and promotes effective interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Provide expertise in collaborating with business partners to develop initiatives that promote transformation of CAMH through a culture of excellence in development and performance.
  • Assess and improve performance management and talent management processes to align with the hospital's goals and the specific needs of mental health professionals.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute organizational development strategies aligned with the hospital's long-term goals.
  • A bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field is required. Master’s degree preferred.

· Experience in Learning and Development or Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) preferred

· Experience implementing talent management frameworks preferred

· Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) preferred

· Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) preferred

· 5+ years of Organizational Development experience with an emphasis on change management is required

· Demonstrated verbal and written communication, decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills

· Experience facilitating all levels of leaders and staff through complex issues

· Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
