Job summary

Fresh Prep Foods Inc in Calgary is hiring for a warehouse team lead role focused on operating automated packaging equipment and ensuring food-safety standards.

You will drive KPIs, set up production lines, maintain inventory, and coordinate plans while complying with GMPs and allergen controls. This is a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment offering health benefits after 90 days and exclusive product perks.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience operating automated equipment or systems.
• 1 year of team lead experience.
• Good knowledge of food allergens and allergen control practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse with strict deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment between 0°C and 4°C.
• Ability to stand and remain active for 8–10 hour shifts.
• Ability to lift and handle objects weighing up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching above and below shoulder level, and repetitive hand movements.

Responsibilities

• Drive achievement of KPIs and support initiatives to improve performance.
• Complete ZW packaging line setup, assembly, and disassembly by end of Production Week.
• Set up Brown Bag stations and ensure ingredients are properly organized and readily available.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Coordinate the execution of production plans to meet operational requirements.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, SOPs and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Participate in incident investigations and support corrective actions.
• Verify corrective actions are completed on time and sustained.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Be Doing

As a People Leader, you will ensure machinist goals for the day are well understood and adhered to; lead the team through clear instruction, guidance, and support; ensure effective training programs are in place; and manage employee feedback constructively.

• Drive achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and support initiatives to improve performance.
• Complete ZW packaging line setup, assembly, and disassembly by the end of each Production Week.

• Coordinate the execution of production plans to meet operational requirements.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), company SOPs and policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Participate in incident investigations and support the development and implementation of corrective actions.
• Verify corrective actions are effectively implemented, completed on time, and sustained.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We Are Looking For

• 1+ year of experience operating automated equipment or systems.
• 1 year of Team Lead experience
• Good knowledge of food allergens and allergen control practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment while meeting strict deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment between 0°C and 4°C.
• Ability to stand and remain active for 8–10 hour shifts.
• Ability to lift and handle objects weighing up to 35 lbs.

• Work schedule of Thursday to Monday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
