Job summary

Mission Eye Care in Calgary, AB is seeking a full-time on-site Optometric Assistant to support optometrists with pre-testing, patient history, OCT and imaging, and specialty testing.

You will participate in scleral and soft contact lens training, as well as myopia management and dry eye care initiatives, while growing your skills in a busy clinical setting. Training is provided to promising candidates with healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Clinical support skills in optometry with pre-testing and basic eye care procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist optometrists with pre-testing, patient history, OCT and imaging.
• Support specialty testing, including visual fields and topographies.
• Provide training for scleral and soft contact lenses.
• Ensure accurate data entry in the electronic practice management system.
