Job summary

FYidoctors Sherwood Park clinic is seeking an Optical Associate to join a dynamic, patient-first team. You’ll greet patients, help with eyewear choices, and interpret prescriptions from the optometrist while ensuring proper fit and comfort.

Key responsibilities include scheduling, billing, and supporting contact lens fittings, all while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Growth and bonuses are available at qualifying clinics.

Qualifications

• Experience in optical or retail environments is preferred.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficient with computers and MS Office.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative, adaptable, proactive with growth mindset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to the clinic, engage with patients in person, by phone, and via email.
• Educate patients on eyewear options tailored to their lifestyle, assisting with frame selection to ensure optimal value, quality, aesthetics, and performance.
• Interpret optical prescriptions provided by the optometrist.
• Perform frame and facial measurements, ensuring proper fit and positioning of new eyewear, as well as repairs and adjustments.
• Coordinate appointments, and prepare prescription printouts.
• Manage billing and payments for patients, insurers and other third parties.
• Assist with contact lens fittings and process contact lens orders.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive patient experience.
• Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as required.
