Optical Associate

Location: FYidoctors Cambridge - Water Street

Our clinic is looking for someone with exceptional skills and experience to join as an Optical Associate. In this role you will enhance the lives of our patients every day, delivering outstanding vision and eyewear experiences in a dynamic, rewarding, and collaborative environment.

This is a full‑time position, 30‑40 hours per week, with the clinic open Monday to Friday.

What you’ll do

• Greet and welcome patients to the clinic, engaging with them in person, by phone, and via email.
• Educate patients on eyewear options tailored to their lifestyle, assisting with frame selection to ensure optimal value, quality, aesthetics, and performance.
• Interpret optical prescriptions provided by the optometrist.
• Perform frame and facial measurements, ensuring proper fit and positioning of new eyewear, as well as repairs and adjustments.
• Coordinate appointments and prepare prescription printouts.
• Manage billing and payments for patients, insurers and other third parties.
• Assist with contact lens fittings and process contact lens orders.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive patient experience.
• Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as required.

The expected starting compensation for this position is between $18.92 and $22.96 hourly, depending on experience, skills and qualifications.
