FYidoctors Dryden - Princess Street is seeking an Optical Associate to join a patient-first eyewear team. You will greet patients, educate on eyewear options, and assist with frame selection to ensure comfort, fit, and style.

Strong communication and a collaborative mindset are essential as you support prescriptions, fittings, and billing in a fast-paced clinic. This full-time role offers a chance to grow within a leading eyecare provider, with ongoing training and opportunities across FYihealth

Qualifications

• Previous optical experience or retail experience is an asset.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to the clinic, in person, by phone, and via email.
• Educate patients on eyewear options and assist with frame selection for value and aesthetics.
• Interpret optical prescriptions from the optometrist.
• Perform frame and facial measurements for proper fit and adjustments.
• Coordinate appointments and prepare prescription printouts.
• Manage billing and payments for patients and insurers.
• Assist with contact lens fittings and orders.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and positive patient experiences.
• Support clinic operations with additional duties as required.

Our FYidoctors Dryden - Princess Street clinic is looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience and join us as an Optical Associate to fill an existing vacancy!

In this role, you’ll enhance the lives of our patients every single day, delivering exceptional vision and eyewear experiences in a dynamic, rewarding, and collaborative environment.

This position is a full-time role working 30-40 hours per week. Our clinic is open Monday to Friday.

What You’ll Do

• Greet and welcome patients to the clinic, engage with patients in person, by phone, and via email
• Educate patients on eyewear options tailored to their lifestyle, assisting with frame selection to ensure optimal value, quality, aesthetics, and performance
• Interpret optical prescriptions provided by the optometrist
• Perform frame and facial measurements, ensuring proper fit and positioning of new eyewear, as well as repairs and adjustments
• Coordinate appointments, and prepare prescription printouts
• Manage billing and payments for patients, insurers and other third parties
• Assist with contact lens fittings and process contact lens orders
• Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive patient experience
• Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as required
