Job summary

Royal Drugs is seeking a Manager, Ophthalmology Operations to oversee ophthalmology program operations, onboarding of clinics, and coordination between pharmacy, reimbursement, PSPs and clinical staff. The role focuses on optimizing workflows, educating providers, and driving program performance across Ontario in a hybrid Ottawa-based setting.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary education in healthcare administration, business, operations, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in healthcare operations, clinic coordination, ophthalmology, or pharmaceutical program support.
• Experience with Patient Support Programs, reimbursement navigation, specialty medications, or specialty pharmacy workflows is an asset.
• Strong understanding of clinic operations in multidisciplinary healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational coordination of ophthalmology clinic partnerships and programs.
• Develop and implement standardized workflows linking clinics with pharmacy, reimbursement teams, PSPs, and internal resources.
• Coordinate onboarding of new ophthalmology clinic partnerships with timelines and trackers.
• Maintain relationships with ophthalmologists, clinics, nurses, and healthcare staff as an operational resource.
• Coordinate specialty medication onboarding and PSP/reimbursement workflows.
• Develop live CE events, manage schedules, venues, and logistics.
• Create and monitor operational dashboards and performance reports.
