Job summary

Friendlier in Guelph, ON is seeking an Operator for a full-time, on-site role. You will rotate through all areas of the facility, processing and preparing recycled containers, loading/unloading an industrial dishwasher, labeling, scanning, packing, and organizing inventory under the Shift Lead.

The position requires reading, writing and speaking English, a secondary school diploma, and the ability to lift up to 30 lb, work in temperature fluctuations, and collaborate in a team.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading dirty/clean product into and out of an industrial dishwasher.
• Job rotation to all areas: Scan, wash, and dry returned (dirty) products.
• Sort products at Intake based on size, scan into box, and package.
• Label new inventory and repackage into box.
• Prepare orders and organize inventory.
• Clean work area daily including sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces.
• Duties as assigned.

Shift: Days: 7:15 AM - 3:15 PM

About the Role:

The operator role involves performing job rotation to all areas of the facility; This means processing and preparing recycled containers. Duties include; loading and unloading an industrial dishwasher, Intake of dirty containers, emptying and sorting them, labelling, sticker removal, scanning, packing. This position reports to the Shift Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading dirty/clean product into and out of an industrial dishwasher
• Job rotation to all areas: Scan, wash, and dry returned (dirty) products
• Sort products at Intake based on size, scan into box, and package
• Label new inventory and repackage into box
• Prepare orders and organize inventory
• Clean work area daily including sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces
• Duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

• The facility can be subject to temperature fluctuations. Food residue and odours.

Physical Requirements

• Strength Guidelines

• Must be able to lift 30lb boxes.
• At times, must be able to work in hot, humid conditions.
• Must have good hand/eye coordination. Testing will be required.
• Motion parameters.
• Must be able to stand throughout an 8 hour shift involving twisting, and lifting.
• Vision and Hearing Requirements
• May be required to use a computer or tablet throughout the shift.

• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
