This entry‑level position performs a wide range of manual and semi‑skilled tasks that support the operation, maintenance, and improvement of municipal infrastructure in a small but busy municipality. The Village of Lions Bay offers a collaborative, team-oriented work environment in a unique Metro Vancouver community, on the Sea-to-Sky highway. While the role is an entry‑level position with general labour and utility system support duties, the successful candidate will be encouraged and supported to pursue Environmental Operators Certification Program (EOCP) certification in Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection, and Water Treatment. The successful candidate is expected to have, or obtain within their first year of employment, EOCP Introduction to Public Works certification.

Successful candidate will have sufficient strength, coordination, and ability to perform physical work in all‑weather conditions. Duties are performed under close supervision, while exercising some independence of judgement in the routine tasks. Upon gaining a sound working knowledge and understanding of the municipality’s systems, you may be required to be on call after normal duty hours on rotation.
