Job summary

Colonial Group in Dorval, QC is seeking a Team Lead to head the morning dispatch operation, ensuring routes are staffed, dispatched on time, and executed safely to deliver service excellence and customer satisfaction.

This on-site, permanent role offers a 4:00am–2:30pm shift, Wednesday to Saturday, within a warehouse environment, requiring strong leadership to supervise drivers and sort staff.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or courier operations.
• Previous supervisory or dispatch experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and dispatch or transportation management systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily morning dispatch and sort to ensure routes depart on schedule.
• Supervise, coach, and support sorters.
• Monitor route performance and resolve delivery issues and service exceptions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations.
• Communicate operational updates and elevate risks as needed.
• Track and report key performance metrics, including on-time dispatch, delivery performance, productivity, and scan compliance.
• Promote a safe, productive, and customer-focused work environment.

Role Summary: The Team Lead is responsible for leading the morning dispatch operation, ensuring all delivery routes are staffed, dispatched on time, and executed safely and efficiently. This role supervises drivers and sort staff while supporting service excellence, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Hours of Work: Wednesday to Saturday, 4:00am–2:30pm

Work Arrangement: On-site

Position Type: Non-Union

Employment Status: Permanent

Compensation: Hourly Range: $22.00 - $24.00/hr

Work Location & Environment: 1660 Boulevard Hymus, Dorval QC, H9P 2N6
