Job summary

Pursuit Collection seeks a qualified maintenance professional to care for gondola lifts, build facilities, and support guest experiences in Banff. This full-time, year-round role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and hands-on equipment maintenance across buildings and attractions.

The ideal candidate will bring millwright trade status, electrical knowledge, and lift operation experience, with a strong focus on safety and guest service in a dynamic hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Millwright journeyman or equivalent certification is required.
• Electrical knowledge including 24VDC, PLC, basic troubleshooting.
• Lift operations and maintenance experience.
• Building maintenance or construction experience.
• Fall Arrest certifications or ability to obtain.
• Experience operating equipment or ability to learn.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and contribute to a safe and healthy workplace by following safety procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance of lift equipment and related duties (inspections, servicing).
• Operate gondola lift per CSA Z98-19 code under supervision.
• Maintain building facilities and HVAC/sanitary equipment through regular inspections.
• Use a computerized maintenance management system to complete and manage work.
• Ensure guest interactions are friendly and professional.
• Support other operations as needed to assist teammates.
• Lift equipment handling may require lifting over 50 lbs and working at heights.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and contribute to a safe and healthy workplace by adhering to all safety procedures
• Perform preventative maintenance of lift equipment and other lift maintenance related duties such as but not limited to daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and gondola servicing.
• Under the direction of management, maintain and operate the gondola lift as per the CSA Z98-19 code.
• Perform preventative maintenance of building facilities such as but not limited to daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of building equipment, and preventive maintenance of HVAC and sanitary equipment.
• Complete and manage work using a computerized maintenance management system.
• Ensures that each guest interaction is friendly and professional
• Willingness to contribute to all areas of operations to support teammates as required
• Duties will require the need to lift equipment over 50lbs, work at heights, use hand & power tools, and operate mechanical equipment.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Millwright journeyman status or equivalent

• Lift operations and lift maintenance experience
• Building maintenance or construction experience
• Fall Arrest certifications or ability to complete
• Equipment operation experience, or ability to learn
• Proven history of safe work practices
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to excel and perform professionally under stress
• Computer knowledge and experience an asset
• First Aid Training and Driver’s license an asset
