Job summary

Altis in Ottawa, Ontario is partnering with a growing residential construction organization to hire an Operations Supervisor who can translate planning into action across multiple active projects.

You will work with leadership, sales and field teams to keep people, materials and projects moving, with site visits and coordination of trades. This hands-on role offers growth as the business expands.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive project coordination, project management or operations experience within construction.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction workflows and project progression.
• Experience coordinating field employees, trades, materials and multiple active projects.
• Previous experience directly supervising or leading employees.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate operational challenges.
• Comfortable balancing computer-based coordination with hands-on site involvement.
• Experience in residential construction, restoration, insulation or related trades is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a bird’s-eye view across active residential projects, identifying staffing, material and workflow issues before they impact delivery.
• Oversee and support field employees, ensuring the right people are deployed to projects based on priorities.
• Coordinate materials, inventory and production requirements to keep projects moving efficiently.
• Collaborate with sales, project and leadership teams to support smooth handoffs and execution.
• Visit project sites as needed to understand challenges, resolve issues and support field operations.
• Support subcontractor coordination, fleet requirements and other operational processes as required.
• Over time, expand responsibilities into areas such as quoting, onboarding and health and safety.

We’re partnering with a growing organization in the residential construction sector to find an Operations Supervisor who understands how construction projects move from planning through completion. This is a hands‑on opportunity for someone who can see the bigger picture while staying close enough to day‑to‑day operations to keep people, materials and projects moving.

Working closely with leadership, sales and field teams, you’ll bring structure and visibility across multiple active projects. You don’t necessarily need to come from a large construction firm. Experience in residential construction, restoration or a trades‑based environment, combined with strong project coordination or project management experience, could be an excellent fit.
