Job summary

Simera in Calgary is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team for end-to-end payroll processing and compliance with Canadian payroll legislation. The role requires hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now and meticulous attention to detail.

You will collaborate with HR and Finance, handle deductions, taxes, and garnishments, and support audits and reporting. Strong Excel skills and knowledge of payroll reporting are essential, with Power BI as a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing and payroll administration.
• Mandatory experience with ADP Workforce Now.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, statutory requirements, and employment standards.
• Experience processing payroll taxes, remittances, garnishments, and other statutory deductions.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with payroll reporting.
• Power BI experience is considered an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across HR and Finance.
• PCP certification or relevant education in Payroll, Accounting, or a related field is considered an asset.
