Job summary

City of Mississauga is seeking an Analyst, Operations Planning - PF&E to transform vision into value by promoting policies, standards and technology improvements across the PF&E division. You will review and implement business improvements for Park Planning, Park Development, Park Operations, Forestry and Environment, and build reports/dashboards for data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized post-secondary program in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Public Administration or a related field with 3 to 5 years related experience.
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), LEAN Certification, PMP designation or Certification in Change Management (PROSCI) are assets.
• Demonstrated success on business process improvement projects, documented and analyzed business processes, calculated benefits for proposed changes, presented solutions, and developed final deliverables.
• Excellent research, analytical and problem solving skills supported by strong facilitation capabilities.
• Experience with operational practices and procedures is an asset.
• Experience in Infor, ActiveNet, PowerBI or equivalent applications an asset.
• Excellent computer skills and experience with Visio, PowerPoint and MS Office.
• Experience with Crystal or SQL report writing preferred.
• Experience in facilitation and documentation of end-user requirements and business process mapping with the ability to compare current state and future state to develop and document clear gap-analysis.
• Strong relationship management capabilities with proven ability to influence others and gain consensus.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate and execute projects utilizing sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Leading and facilitating workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements and map current and future business processes.
• Identifying continuous improvement opportunities by analyzing operations data and prioritizing process improvements, then recommending and deploying solutions.
• Displaying initiative by analyzing business requirements to identify information, procedures, and decision flows.
• Leading and coordinating projects to improve efficiency and the divisional performance metrics program.
• Providing business case support, analysis, project management, and redesigned processes to support software implementations.
• Submitting reports detailing project plans, business case justification, recommendations and schedules to stakeholders.
