Job summary

TDS Personnel seeks an Operations Manager for an investment management client in Toronto. The role blends day-to-day execution with strategic problem solving, overseeing portfolio management system administration, client reporting, onboarding, and operational improvements.

Key responsibilities include reconciliations, transaction review, onboarding, and coordinating with external vendors. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of portfolio/investment operations experience and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in portfolio and/or investment management, with back-office custodians experience.
• Strong attention to detail with reconciliations, transactions, and client reporting.
• Experience with portfolio management, reporting, or investment operations systems; Harmony preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Able to translate operational needs into practical process improvements and own end-to-end processes.

Responsibilities

• Review daily Portfolio Management System reconciliation reports and resolve exceptions and account setup issues.
• Monitor feeds and investigate unusual or unmatched activity; maintain account mappings and reporting structures.
• Prepare and validate client reports (monthly, quarterly, annual, ad hoc) and assist with fee analyses and NAV checks.
• Onboard new client accounts in the Portfolio Management System; configure reporting mappings and structures.
• Oversee Cayman reporting and ensure efficient account setup and maintenance.
• Identify operational improvements and coordinate with vendors to implement scalable solutions.
