Job Title: Operations Manager

Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is seeking an Operations Manager for the Fairfield Edmonton International Airport, Edmonton, AB.

Job Purpose:

Plan and manage hotel functions (Front Office, Housekeeping, Laundry, F&B) to achieve customer satisfaction and quality service while meeting financial goals. Responsible for short and long-term planning, daily operations, budgeting, marketing, and ensuring compliance with safety and legal standards. Provide warm, knowledgeable service and guidance to guests, ensuring they have a positive experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage Human Resources to attract, retain, and motivate employees; including hiring, training, coaching, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  2. Develop and manage the annual budget, marketing plans, forecasts, and objectives to meet or exceed expectations.
  3. Implement company and local programs, ensuring compliance with SOPs, safety regulations, and legal requirements to deliver quality service and customer satisfaction.
  4. Resolve customer complaints to maintain high satisfaction levels.
  5. Follow emergency procedures and ensure staff are trained accordingly to protect guests, staff, and assets.
  6. Promote accident prevention programs to minimize liabilities.
  7. Oversee maintenance and sanitation of hotel facilities to ensure quality and compliance.
  8. Act as General Manager in their absence.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt standards.
  • Advanced knowledge of hospitality and business management.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Excellent literacy and verbal skills for reports, policies, and guest interactions.
  • Physical ability to inspect and walk through hotel premises.
