Operations Manager

Job Overview:

Combined Petroleum Limited is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager – Fuel Card to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of our fuel card program. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical, operational, and team leadership skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth execution, customer satisfaction, and growth of the fuel card business while maintaining operational excellence and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the entire fuel card program, including issuance, activation, usage monitoring, and customer service.

Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize fuel card operations.

Collaborate with sales, IT, and finance teams to ensure system integrity, customer onboarding, account reconciliation and customer retention initiatives.

Manage customer accounts, including resolving disputes, monitoring usage patterns, and ensuring adherence to limits and controls.

Conduct regular audits and analysis to detect anomalies, misuse, or fraud, and implement preventive measures.

Ensure smooth coordination with fuel station partners and monitor network performance.

Train, supervise, and mentor staff within the fuel card operations team.

Generate and present regular performance and usage reports for internal stakeholders and management.

Ensure compliance with company policies, legal and regulatory requirements.

Identify opportunities for operational improvement and contribute to the development of new fuel card features or services.

Manage operational budgets and contribute to strategic planning and growth initiatives.

Assist in the development and rollout of new products or system enhancements within the fuel card platform.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).

Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, preferably in fuel card programs, fleet management, or petroleum-related services.

Strong understanding of fuel card systems, processes, and customer management.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with ERP/CRM systems.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to analyze data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in the petroleum/fuel card industry.
