Hemlane is seeking an Operations Manager for our Leasing team to join our rapidly growing company. Our platform revolutionizes rental property management by providing rental owners with a flexible, remote solution through our SaaS platform and a marketplace of real estate agents.

We are open to candidates who are strong individual contributors or those who can also take on managerial responsibilities. The ideal candidate should be willing to learn our systems and processes through hands-on work.

Note: All leasing activities are conducted remotely (we do not service Alberta). There is no on-site work involved. Operations are centered from our Calgary office, with a 1-2 day weekly office policy. You must be comfortable working in a digital environment, with a focus on metrics and reporting. This role does not involve traditional in-person leasing or property visits.

We are looking for a team member with strong experience in customer service, project management, and home repairs. The role requires a passion for problem-solving and helping customers succeed. Your work will directly influence the future of real estate property management.

Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with a team of 3 leasing coordinators.
  2. Implement systems to support scaling efforts.
  3. Develop a good understanding of our product and software to identify solutions.
  4. Identify and suggest automation opportunities for time-consuming tasks.
  5. Partner with the product team to design and test internal tools and customer-facing applications.
  6. Coordinate remotely the collection of house keys and lockbox installations.
  7. Review inspection reports and discuss scope of work with property owners.
  8. Manage repair and cleaning requests with vendors remotely.
  9. Source and evaluate service vendors to expand our network.
