Job summary

Autism Services in Saskatoon is seeking an accounting professional to lead the McClean Joint-Venture's financial reporting and month-end processes. You will manage the year-end audit and respond to partner inquiries, ensuring timely reporting.

Responsibilities include budgeting with management, performance reviews, inventory provisions, KPI development, and coordinating with auditors on quarterly and annual requirements. Travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• Commerce degree and/or 2 years accounting training and experience is required.
• CPA designation or working towards the CPA designation is an asset.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using SAP is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage McClean Joint-Venture full accounting and financial reporting cycle.
• Month end accounting and annual audited financial statements.
• Respond to queries/requests from JV partners.
• Prepare annual operating budget for the McClean JEB Mill and review monthly performance.
• Review inventory provision and accounting for inventory sales.
• Tracking purchasing performance.
• Developing and monitoring KPIs including operational and financial metrics.
• Ministry of Highways Transportation Partnership Agreement quarterly reporting and annual audit.
• Monthly invoicing for Ammonium Sulphate Sales & Toll Mill Fees.
• Assist external auditors in year-end audit work.
• Participate in operational excellence reporting initiatives.
• Perform other related tasks, as required.

Job description

What youll be accomplishing:

• Responsible for McClean Joint-Venture (MLJV) full accounting and financial reporting cycle including:
  • Month end accounting and annual audited financial statements
  • Responding to queries/requests from JV partners
  • Preparation of the annual operating budget for the McClean JEB Mill in collaboration with the McClean Management Team and monthly review of performance
  • Reviewing inventory provision and accounting for any sale of inventory
  • Tracking purchasing performance
  • Developing and monitoring key performance indicators including operational and financial metrics
  • Ministry of Highways Transportation Partnership Agreement quarterly reporting and annual audit
  • Monthly invoicing for Ammonium Sulphate Sales & Toll Mill Fees
  • Assisting external auditors in the performance of the annual year-end audit work
  • Participating in operational excellence reporting initiatives
• Perform other related tasks, as required
