Job summary

Orano Canada seeks a qualified accounting professional to lead full accounting and financial reporting for the McClean JV. You will drive month-end close, prepare annual statements, and respond to partner inquiries in collaboration with the McClean Management Team.

Responsibilities include budgeting with the team, inventory review, KPI tracking, invoicing for Ammonium Sulphate Sales and Toll Mill Fees, and supporting auditors during year-end processes.

Qualifications

• Commerce degree or accounting training/experience required.
• CPA designation or working toward CPA is an asset.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using SAP is an asset.

• Respond to queries from JV partners and support budgeting with the McClean Management Team.
• Prepare the annual operating budget for the McClean JEB Mill and review performance monthly.
• Review inventory provisions and accounting for inventory sales.
• Track purchasing performance and develop/monitor KPIs (operational and financial).
• Handle monthly invoicing for Ammonium Sulphate Sales & Toll Mill Fees.
• Assist external auditors during the year-end audit.

Job Description

What you’ll be accomplishing:

• Responsible for McClean Joint-Venture (MLJV) full accounting and financial reporting cycle including:
  • Month end accounting and annual audited financial statements
  • Responding to queries/requests from JV partners
  • Preparation of the annual operating budget for the McClean JEB Mill in collaboration with the McClean Management Team and monthly review of performance
  • Reviewing inventory provision and accounting for any sale of inventory
  • Tracking purchasing performance
  • Developing and monitoring key performance indicators including operational and financial metrics
  • Monthly invoicing for Ammonium Sulphate Sales & Toll Mill Fees
  • Assisting external auditors in the performance of the annual year-end audit work
• Salary Range: $77,750 - $94,450
