Job summary

Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze key performance indicators for operating expenses and prepare a comprehensive review of results, including explanations for variances from budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for senior leaders and Joint Venture partners.
- Monthly preparation of accruals for operating expenses for both operated and non-operated properties.
- Coordinate yearly operating expense budget preparation, consolidation, and review for Joint Venture and internal budgets.
- Prepare monthly excess use entries and book annual equalizations.
- Manage Joint Venture responsibilities, including Joint Interest Billings, payouts, 13th month adjustments, and assist with audits.
- Prepare cash forecasts and assist in clearing bank accounts.
- Serve as a system super user for Qbyte, including cost center setups and month-end process runs.
- Administer system (AFE Nexus), including non-op AFE setup.
- Perform account reconciliations.
- Participate in special projects as requested.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of operations accounting experience in the oil and gas sector.
- Experience with liquids-rich properties (Montney/Duvernay) is an asset.
- Accounting designation (CPA) preferred, in conjunction with a related undergraduate degree.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Qbyte is an asset.
- Self-starter with a results-driven approach, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to foster a cooperative, results-oriented work environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Capable of managing multiple demands and consistently meeting deadlines.
