Reporting to the Director, Infrastructure Technical Solutions, your responsibilities will include:

1. Providing IT infrastructure, cybersecurity management, and consulting services for new initiatives, and supporting operations managers across the province through coordination of technical services for existing and new technologies (e.g., SCADA, Maximo WMS, PDM, Wonderware).
2. Leading the ongoing operation and maintenance of the branch’s customized computer systems and information processing services.
3. Developing and implementing operational plans, policies, procedures, standards, and best practices in line with GO-ITS standards.
4. Offering technical briefings, advice, and recommendations to OCWA management and external clients regarding network infrastructure, cybersecurity issues, and strategies.
5. Leading the development and deployment of network architecture at water and wastewater facilities across the province, including hardware infrastructure and remote connectivity assessments.
6. Managing the infrastructure asset lifecycle, including risk analysis, asset replacement planning, and developing policies for performance monitoring and failure analysis.
7. Coordinating control system emergency responses to ensure operational continuity and compliance, including after-hours support and contingency planning.
8. Managing the province-wide network topology, hardware/software, and cybersecurity systems such as VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems, and monitoring logs for suspicious activity.
9. Supporting identity and security infrastructure using Microsoft Azure Technologies, including administering Azure Active Directory, configuring access policies, and ensuring secure cloud-based authentication.
