Covenant Health in Camrose is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse - Operating Room Technician (LPN-ORT) to join the OR team at St. Mary’s Hospital. You will deliver holistic, high-quality perioperative care as part of a multidisciplinary group.
Registration with Alberta CLHA, BLS Level C, and Perioperative OR experience are required, with EPIC experience preferred. This temp full-time role includes on-call duties and rotating shifts.

Description: The Licensed Practical Nurse - Operating Room Technician (LPN-ORT) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating on the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care and support to patients/residents and families. The LPN-ORT works to the full scope of practice in providing safe, quality care in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the AUPE Auxiliary Nursing Collective Agreement.
Must be registered with and hold a valid practice permit from College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA) prior to commencing employment. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of Perioperative Nursing Course and or equivalent Operating Room Experience.Experience using EPIC in OR/PARR setting.Ability to scrub/circulate in general/ortho/gyne/plastics.Excellent assessment, organization, communication, and team interaction skills.Ability to perform consistently in a highly organized, rapid moving, complex environment.The ability to cope and effectively perform in stressful and/or emergent situations is essential.This position has an on call component. The successful applicant would need to be within City of Camrose when on call.
