OpenText Developer and Support Analyst
The OpenText Developer and Support Analyst is responsible for break/fix support for the OpenText Content Management/Content Server and Process Automation/AppWorks platforms, system administration for OpenText, development and enhancement work for OpenText, upgrading/patching for OpenText, quality assurance, and technical documentation.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Install and configure OpenText applications (Content Management/Content Server, Extended ECM, Records Management, Physical Objects, Process Automation/AppWorks, Email Management, OTDS, Archive Center, OpenText Intelligent Classification/Magellan Text Mining/Auto-Classification, OpenText Intelligence/Magellan BI & Reporting, etc.)
- Perform application upgrade, patching, and migration
- Manage application administration
- Design, develop, and maintain new applications, forms, reports, templates, and workflows
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system performance, failures, and technical errors; identify root causes and work on bugs/fixes with vendors as needed
- Collaborate on requirements and solution design
- Modify, enhance, and create solutions to meet business requirements following design, development, and documentation standards
Desired Education and Certifications:
- OpenText AppWorks Platform Administration Certification
- OpenText Archive Center Administrator Certification
- OpenText Extended ECM for SAP Solutions Business Administrator Certification
- OpenText Extended ECM for Microsoft Office 365 Certification
- Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Applied Skills certifications related to information protection, cybersecurity, and data governance
Mandatory Education and Certifications:
- A degree in computer science, software engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Formal OpenText training
- OpenText Content Server Administrator Certification
Mandatory Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in a system administration IT role
- Development experience for OpenText Content Management/Content Server (using Web Services, REST APIs, OScript)
- Experience with web reports, forms, workflows, and entities in Process Automation/AppWorks
- Experience in all phases of SDLC
- Java or .NET development skills, knowledge of OOP
- Experience with PowerShell scripting
- Web/application server management (IIS, Apache)
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and storage solutions
- Strong technical documentation skills
- Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage systems
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Desired Additional Experience:
- Supporting other OpenText products and Microsoft products (365, SharePoint, Defender, Entra ID, etc.)
- Knowledge of data modeling, testing, and compliance tools
- Experience with enterprise security and data governance solutions
