Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Mining Sector Representative within Environmental Services in Ontario. This project leadership and business development role supports top-line growth in the mining sector and collaborates with Ontario BCPLs and the ES Mining Sector Leader.

The position blends technical leadership with client outreach, requires a university degree and 15+ years of experience, and expects travel across Ontario.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in environmental services/mining.
• Strong leadership and business development capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to travel within Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a mining sector growth strategy with ES colleagues.
• Lead the Ontario Environmental Services mining team (BCPLs) and manage multi-discipline scopes.
• Drive client outreach internally and externally.
• Lead and coordinate proposal development, debriefs, backlog tracking, and surveys.
• Host client events and attend industry conferences and tradeshows.
• Assist leadership with business plans and KPIs.
• Coordinate with the Mining BU on opportunities and national strategy.
• Lead revenue growth and report progress with financial metrics.
• Mentor junior staff and respond to proposals with project scoping.
• Lead technical project work and oversee field investigations and reports.
• Travel to field sites with possible overnight stays.
