Job summary

Dodds Garage Doors is seeking a HR Generalist & Talent Acquisition professional to lead HR operations and full‑cycle recruitment across Southern Ontario locations. You will own recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, safety, and performance management reporting to the President.

The ideal candidate brings five+ years of HR experience in service or trades, solid knowledge of Ontario employment law, and the ability to manage multiple locations

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressive HR experience in a fast-paced service/trades environment.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario employment law and health & safety standards.
• Proven ability to manage recruitment, onboarding and employee relations across multiple locations.
• Experience with HR platforms, payroll coordination, and policy administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruitment across all Dodds locations.
• Manage onboarding and off-boarding start-to-finish.
• Lead investigations on employee relations issues and workplace complaints.
• Serve as primary contact for HR policy questions and benefits inquiries.
• Maintain HR files and reporting, coordinate with Payroll and IT on changes.
• Administer group benefits renewals and enrollments.
• Oversee quarterly performance reviews and support performance improvement plans.
• Maintain and update Employee Handbook and annual policy sign-off.
• Act as change agent for HR programs and continuous improvement.
