Job summary

Green Infrastructure Partners Inc. (GIP) is seeking a Quality Control Technician based in Caledon, Ontario to support projects across the GTA and Ontario by performing field testing, inspection and sampling of construction materials.

You will report to the Quality/Project Manager or Field Supervisor and play a key role in ensuring quality standards on site. Responsibilities include data recording, calibration of testing equipment, and timely reporting of results and deviations.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Civil/Construction Engineering Technology is an asset but not required.
• Prior construction project or material testing experience is an asset but not required.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to communicate with managers, engineers, supervisors and team members.

Responsibilities

• Field inspection and testing of asphalt, aggregates, soils and concrete.
• Field testing including sampling, coring and compaction of materials.
• Maintain accurate records of testing activities.
• Assist in care, control and maintenance of testing equipment, including timely calibrations of assigned equipment.
• Follow all company and regulatory safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with Geotechnical inspections and investigations.
• Complete reports and checklists as per company policies and/or contract requirements and advise supervisors of any non-conformances and deviations.
• Assist with Laboratory testing of materials when required.
• Perform other duties as instructed.
