Job summary

Winpak Ltd. in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Process Specialist to support daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, recycling and material handling.

The role collaborates across departments to ensure accurate storage, movement of material, and timely shipments. You will promote continuous improvement, ensure compliance with SQF, GMP, ISO 9001 and CTPAT, maintain SOPs and training records, review incidents, and contribute to KPI achievement.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education; post-secondary education an asset.
• 1+ year Experience within a Warehouse environment, with knowledge of inventory processes.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across departments.
• 1+ year experience with continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong leadership skills; ability to supervise and motivate others in a team environment.
• Computer proficient, familiar with PC-based programs such as Word and Excel as well as the ability to learn and utilize computer-based production management tools (Movex, MES, Highjump)
• Ability and willingness to take courses related to Warehousing, Process Improvement, i.e. CITT
• This position is fully onsite at 100 Saulteaux Crescent, Winnipeg MB
• We are located in Murray Industrial Park. There are limited bus services to this location.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of the Warehouse departments.
• Assist Shipping, Receiving, Recycling, and Material Handling.
• Promote continuous improvement and adhere to Winpak's values.
• Ensure SQF, GMP, ISO 9001, and CTPAT compliance and assist audits.
• Actively review SIPOC and FEMA yearly and when updates are required.
• Address 8D non-conformances, root cause, implementing corrective actions.
• Upload and maintain the Logistics SharePoint site.
• Review and update SOP and SWP for the warehouse departments and ensure changes are implemented and shared with Warehouse employees.
• Update and maintain all training records and training matrices.
• Ensure all GMPs are followed and training done yearly.
• Review safety incidents with department supervisors to find solutions and prevent recurrence.
• Identify process inefficiency, material flow issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Investigate discrepancies and coordinate with appropriate departments to resolve issues.
• Promote teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication within the department and Company.
• Interact with all levels of the operation in support of Winpak’s registration to ISO 9001-2015, SQF Code, IMS certification, and other standards.
• Assist the department manager in establishing department goals, objectives and KPIs and contribute to achieving them.
• Follow up on internal and external customer complaints regarding the Warehouse in a timely manner.
