Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Field Project Manager to join Building Solutions, North America. This onsite role works with local customers on construction or retrofit projects, interfacing with staff and management to drive project success.

You will coordinate troubleshooting, commissioning, safety, and progress reviews while ensuring subcontractors meet scope and site standards. A university degree with HVAC/BAS experience and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent with 5 years HVAC/BAS experience.
• Manages medium to large projects and coordinates field activities.
• Builds long-term relationships with customers in revamping, debottlenecking and capacity Expansion.
• Strong commercial/financial acumen; supply chain understanding and communication skills.
• Persuade, negotiate and influence others.

Responsibilities

• Program and assist with troubleshooting, as-builts, equipment start-ups when necessary.
• Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
• Interface with site customer personnel to ensure conformance to drawings and site standards.
• Coordinate commissioning and validation activities on-site with commissioning agents and engineers.
• Schedule commissioning and validation activities with the Engineering Team.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety, health, environmental standards and contracted scope of work.
• Preside over weekly scheduling meetings and Biweekly Engineering Review Meetings.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.
