Job summary

Johnson Controls Canada seeks a skilled Controls Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning of building control systems on site. You will diagnose complex issues, provide effective solutions, and ensure high customer satisfaction through direct field engagement.

Professional communication is essential as you document work, train customers, and collaborate with branch and project teams.

Qualifications

• Four years of commercial controls troubleshooting in HVAC.
• Technical diploma or two years' experience in electronic/mechanical systems.
• Ability to install and service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
• Effective communication to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites.
• Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex control systems malfunctions across multiple languages of system software.
• Consult with customers, propose retrofits/upgrades, and assist sales with technical recommendations.
• Manage work to ensure on-time, high-quality execution and customer satisfaction.
• Provide field sketches and assist with drawings, layouts, and bill of materials.
• Train customers on control systems operations and deliver manuals/documentation.
