Job summary

Riverside Natural Foods Ltd. (Home of Madegood) is seeking a Facilities Technician to operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain building systems including HVAC, boilers, chillers, pumps and compressed air. You will work with staff and contractors to ensure safe, reliable infrastructure and PM program execution.

The role requires hands-on skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly to issues. Onsite work is in the Greater Toronto Area with occasional after-hours support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience in building systems maintenance with focus on HVAC, boilers and chillers.
• Basic knowledge and skills in electrical.
• Solid troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical components.
• Working knowledge of pumps, compressed air systems, and related equipment.
• Experience with daily checks, performance monitoring and PM scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, pumps, and air systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues and optimize performance.
• Monitor system performance and adjust for efficiency and reliability.
• Respond to breakdowns with corrective action and safe procedures.
• Attend to basic building repairs and assist contractors as needed.
• Document maintenance activities in the CMMS and track assets.
