Job summary

Riverside Natural Foods Ltd. is seeking a Licensed Maintenance Technician to maintain and optimize manufacturing equipment across packaging lines, performing preventive and reactive maintenance.

You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, coordinate with the maintenance supervisor, and ensure GMP practices. Requires 5+ years in millwright/maintenance roles and proper licenses; offers health, vision and dental benefits from day one, RRSP matching, and tool allowances in a

• Minimum 5 years of experience as Millwright Mechanic, Maintenance technician or Electrician.
• Required certified NOC 7311 or Red Seal Millwright Mechanics or Provincial Electricians Ticket (433A, 442A, 309D).
• Working experience with equipment such as vertical wrapper, horizontal wrappers, robotics pick and place, tunnel oven is an asset.
• Knowledge of PLC, robotics, HMIs, and controls (Allen Bradley) preferred.
• Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Proven machining skills using lathes, milling, and drill press; rigging and hoisting experience is an asset.
• Flexibility to work afternoons and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment including mixers, wrappers, ovens, conveyors, etc.
• Provide technical assistance in Preventive Maintenance optimization.
• Assist outside contractors and ensure GMP policies are followed.
• Record maintenance work, spare parts, and data for analysis; maintain clean work areas.
• Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives.
• Commit to high standards of housekeeping & safety.
• Other duties as assigned.

Role Details:

• Licensed trades (433A, 442A, 309A): $40.25/hr - $45.25/hr

Position Summary/Objective:

As a Licensed Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for contributing to the company’s operational performance through maintenance program compliance and work order scheduling including reactive and preventative maintenance for technical and non-technical components.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate and uphold Riverside Natural Food’s Core Values.
• Understand and lead compliance with both Health and Safety and Food Safety practices.
• Attending breakdown call. Independently troubleshoot and resolve both mechanical and electrical issues.
• Escalate recurring problems to supervisor and work on eliminating them.
• Perform minor repairs, equipment set up, change over, overhaul, fabrication as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment including food mixer, slab forming machine, horizontal wrapper, robotic pick and place system, case packer, tunnel oven, conveyors, etc.
• Provide technical assistant / advice in Preventive Maintenance optimization effort.
• Assist outside contractors and ensure GMP policies are being adhered to.
• Performs work in accordance with established maintenance processes and practices including but not limited to recording work done, recording data for analysis, logging spare parts consumed, cleaning up work area, etc.
• Participate in cross functional continuous improvement initiative.
• Responsible for the highest standards of housekeeping & safety in all aspects of the job.
• Other duties as assigned.

Reporting Relationships

• This position report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor

Key Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as Millwright Mechanic, Maintenance technician or Electrician

  • lubrication types and systems
• Proven machining skills using lathes, milling, and drill press
• Rigging and hoisting experience is an asset
• Flexibility to work afternoons and weekends

Salary Range

$40.25 — $45.25 CAD
