Job summary

Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre requires a permanent full-time (1.0 FTE) Student Support Teacher. The campus location will be determined by the principal residence of the successful candidate. The grade level will be determined by enrolment.

The teacher will design online lessons and interventions, differentiate instruction, and monitor progress with assessments. Moodle and Microsoft Teams will be used to deliver content, communicate with students and staff, and collaborate on educational

Qualifications

Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent teaching certification in Saskatchewan.
Master of Education or Special Education Certificate preferred.
Experience delivering online lessons and supporting diverse learners.

Responsibilities

Curriculum and Planning: Ensure the Saskatchewan curriculum is delivered effectively while adapting for diverse learners and their individual needs.
Instruction and Assessment: Develop engaging online lessons, activities and interventions; use assessments to monitor progress.
Leadership: Use Moodle and Microsoft Teams to manage content, deliver lessons, and communicate with students and colleagues.
Classroom: Plan with fellow teachers to develop educational programs and establish expectations for learning and behavior.
Outside Classroom: Maintain timely communication with parents/guardians about student progress and achievements.
