Job summary

The Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre is seeking a temporary part-time (0.6 FTE) Student Support Teacher to begin August 27, 2026 and end June 25, 2027. The position may have a campus location determined by the principal’s residence.

You will provide support to online learners, differentiate instruction, and collaborate with teachers and parents to meet diverse needs within an online learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in student support, diverse learning accommodations, online teaching or online program supervision would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• The Student Support teacher provides support to students with diverse needs, helps with differentiation of instruction to meet the needs of all learners and collaborates with classroom teachers and parents in supporting the needs within the school.
• Primarily focuses on Student Support Services and other subjects as scheduled with the school-based administrator.

As an online instructor, you will work with students in an online environment and will in most cases, be the primary point of contact for our learners. The teaching assignment will include Student Support Services and other subjects scheduled in consultation with the school-based administrator with student services responsibilities. The Student Support teacher provides support to students with diverse needs, helps with differentiation of instruction to meet the needs of all learners and collaborates with classroom teachers and parents in supporting the needs within the school.

Experience in student support, diverse learning accommodations, online teaching or online program supervision would be considered an asset.
