Job summary

TEEMA Group in Chilliwack, BC is seeking a Resident Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance for two apartment locations and one townhome site totaling 183 units. You will cultivate positive relationships with residents and ensure properties are well maintained.

The role requires handyman skills, strong communication, and knowledge of BC Residential Tenancy Act. On-site duties include repairs, preventive maintenance, and coordination with the Property Manager.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage customer expectations and build relationships.
• Clear written and verbal reporting skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proactive attitude with a ''getting it done'' mindset.
• Proven handyman, painting, drywall, and carpentry skills.
• Knowledge of BC Residential Tenancy Act and Regulations.
• Criminal record check and good credit rating are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leasing and marketing residential units, including tenant screenings.
• Build positive relationships with tenants and respond to concerns.
• Attend to and perform minor repairs (faucets, drains, locks, electrical, etc.).
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and emergencies.
• Respond to after-hours emergency calls promptly.
• Conduct daily property rounds to maintain security and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with building team members as needed.
• Complete turnover painting and repairs of rental suites.
• Process maintenance requests promptly and report to the Property Manager.
