Job summary

PMI-SAC in Calgary seeks an experienced Project/Site Manager to oversee a commercial medical building project from inception to completion. You will coordinate all construction activities, lead diverse teams, ensure on-time delivery within scope and budget, and serve as the primary client and contractor liaison.

Responsibilities include developing plans, reviewing drawings, managing schedules and costs, enforcing safety, and reporting progress to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction management with civil engineering knowledge.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
• Understanding of estimating and cost control processes.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and review efficient project plans, blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Manage project schedules to track progress and deadlines.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth workflow and timely delivery of materials.
• Oversee daily site operations, including safety protocols, quality control, and adherence to building codes.
• Prepare and review construction estimates to ensure budget alignment.
• Monitor project costs, change orders, and resource allocation to maintain financial control.
• Lead project meetings, provide updates to stakeholders, and resolve issues promptly to minimize delays.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and conduct regular site inspections.
• Manage project documentation including schedules, reports, RFIs (Request for Information), and progress photos.
