Job summary

Ledcor Group of Companies in Alberta is seeking a Project Accountant to coordinate accurate data entry and reporting in our financial systems. The role covers A/R, subcontract management, payroll, equipment time entry, A/P and month-end reporting on a site-based project with camp accommodations or LOA provided.

You will support the project management team with monthly cost and profitability reporting, ensure timely invoicing, and manage timesheets and cost coding.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related project accounting experience in construction.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and financial applications incl. JD Edwards.
• Strong Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports monthly cost and profitability reporting, including accrual entry.
• Understands contract requirements for billing.
• Coordinates accounts receivable functions including invoicing.
• Ensures timesheets are collected and processed timely and accurately.
• Reviews accounts payable for cost coding accuracy and PO compliance.
• Tracks subcontractor commitments and progress payments.
• Supports equipment and fixed asset tracking, entry and reconciliation.
• Prepares and posts journal entries in JD Edwards.
• Prepares and reconciles daily/weekly LEMs.
