Job summary

Ultipro on-site is seeking a Maintenance Planner to supervise and plan department maintenance, and repair and installation of production machinery. You will assist scheduling weekend/down day maintenance work and maintain an up-to-date log of tasks.

The role requires coordinating with operations, Materials, Engineering, and contractors, guiding staff to repair and maintain equipment efficiently, and improving equipment to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Ideally a Red Seal Electrician or Millwright, or at least a strong mechanical/electrical background.
• Formal education preferably in the mechanical area.
• Must be able to work all schedules, cross-train as required, and be proficient in the technical aspects of the assigned area.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Proven abilities with problem solving and dealing with high pressure situations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and coordinate maintenance and equipment repairs to reduce downtime and contribute to production efficiencies.
• Identify and implement improvements to equipment; determine root causes of failures and implement solutions to eliminate repetitive downtime.
• Continually evaluate effectiveness of PMs and update PMs as needed.
• Train maintenance employees as needed and determine spare parts needs with input from Maintenance Planners; maintain safety and housekeeping standards.
