Teck Resources Limited’s Highland Valley Copper operations in Logan Lake, BC, invites a co-op student in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering (Computer/Software) to join the IT team on-site for an 8-month assignment.

You'll support hardware, software, network, and system issues, help deploy and maintain equipment, and assist with IT assets and inventory while upholding safety and customer service standards. This paid co-op offers practical mining IT experience.

Formación

• Currently pursuing a post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering (Computer or Software).
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking concepts, and software troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 applications.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical support by troubleshooting hardware, software, network and system-related issues for field and site-based employees across administrative, operational and remote work environments
• Respond to and resolve IT service requests and incidents in a timely and professional manner through the ticketing system
• Assist with the setup, configuration, deployment and maintenance of computers, laptops, mobile devices and peripheral equipment
• Assist with maintaining IT inventory, asset tracking, and equipment lifecycle management
• Adhere to safety, environmental requirements while performing IT-related work on site
• Be a courageous safety leader and follow policies and procedures
