Teck Resources is offering a 12‑month co‑op position at Highland Valley Copper in Logan Lake, BC. You must be enrolled in a Canadian post‑secondary institution and available on-site for the full term.

Targeted at Mining/Mineral Resource Engineering students, the role emphasizes safety leadership, mine planning, and collaboration with engineering and operations teams. A valid work permit may be required.

Qualifications

• The candidate is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mining/Mineral Resource Engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
• A valid driver's license and vehicle access are required for the co-op term.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety rules and participate in safety programs on site.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to plan mine activities daily to monthly.
• Contribute to pit and dump design, autonomous fleets, and production scheduling.
• Support drilling, blasting, surveying, and geotechnical evaluations.
• Assist with compliance tracking for mine permits and capital expenditure data.
• Develop ideas to improve mining operations and technology usage.
