Job summary

Anderson Air in Richmond, BC is seeking an Accountant with a strong focus on full cycle accounting to join our team. This on-site role reports to the Financial Controller and includes AP, AR, and project costing responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of accounting experience, a related diploma, and strong Excel skills. Familiarity with Sage 50 or Simply Accounting is preferred. We offer a collaborative culture with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Diploma in accounting, finance, math, or a related field.
• Expert knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience in full cycle accounting is highly desirable.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of Sage 50 or Simply Accounting preferred.
• Self-motivated with a desire to continually learn and grow.
• Eligible status to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Financial Controller; support the accounting team to meet deadlines.
• Accounts Payable: record vendor invoices for daily credit card transactions; contact vendors for discrepancies; file invoices and receipts.
• Accounts Receivable: issue invoices for flights, maintenance, and services; reconcile discrepancies; communicate with clients.
• Project and Job Costing: update monthly project costings; track direct and indirect costs; handle other projects as assigned.
